Idaho Rafting Trips on the Salmon

About the Boats:

Oar Boats

Oar boats are 16-18' long, carry 4-6 passengers and are rowed by your guide with a set of oars.  There are 3-4 rafts per trip with a group size of about 24.  Often times a sweep boat accompanies the trip to carry the camp equipment.

Paddle Rafts
Paddle rafts are the most participatory way to experience a river.  Depending on the size of the raft there will be 4-6 paddlers and one paddle captain per raft.  This is a team effort raft which each person having a paddle in their hands and being involved in navigating the raft through the rapids.  On most trips the paddle raft is shared by the trip participants.
