It is extremely important to bring everything on the list since it has been refined over the years to include all the necessary gear to cover unforeseen weather be it sunny, humid and hot or stormy and windy.

Passport and copy of it
SCUBA certification (for divers)
All trip information sheets (in case of late arrival or for other pertinent information)
Clothes
1 set of clean clothes for flight home
4 pairs shorts quick drying are best
5 short sleeved T-shirts
For sun protection 1-2 lightweight long-sleeve shirts and 1 pair lightweight long pants
1 set of long underwear (Capilene, silk, or polypropylene not lycra)
1 Polypropylene sweater (light)
1 pair sturdy river shoes or neoprene scuba booties with a hard sole
1 pair sandals
Fast drying underwear
2-3 swimsuits
Wide brim hat
1 or 2 bandanas
Gear
Soft sided luggage. Waterproof is best. A couple of small bags are better than one very large bag
Day pack
Important: Fins, Mask, snorkel and net bag
Sunglasses with strap
Important: Light weight rain jacket
1-2 personal water bottles
Important for Adventure Week trips Headlamp with extra batteries. Also very useful on all trips
Watch or travel clock
Toilet Kit
Personal toiletry items: tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, comb, etc
Insect Repellent
Plenty of waterproof sunscreen and lip balm
1-2 towels (none provided on the island)
Small first aid kit including: Emergen-C (electrolyte replacement drink mix), antihistamine, Imodium, ibuprofen, swimmers ear, aloe Vera, Band-Aids, antibiotic cream, cortisone cream and oral antibiotic

Important: Bring cash for emergencies and items not included in trip cost. If you arrive late you will have to pay up to $250 to catch up with the trip. You will need other funds $300 minimum to cover taxis, exit tax, SCUBA diving, alcoholic beverages, souvenirs and tips. Small bills are a necessity. Traveler's checks, ATM machines and credit cards are unreliable in Belize
