Adventure Island Glover's Reef

Tucked into a forgotten corner of the Caribbean, Belize has remained apart from the growth of the rest of Central America. Today it harbors the regions last unspoiled marine and rainforest environments and offers some of the most exciting adventure travel in the America's.

Adventure Island Glover's Reef combines all of the elements of a multi sport vacation with a relaxed and flexible schedule of a private island resort. Long Caye, one of the islands on the Glover's Reef Atoll and a private island is located 35 miles from the mainland and encompasses more than 700 pristine patch reefs brimming with a rich variety of marine life. It is also outside of commercial flight paths which adds to the remote tropical charm. On the inside of the island the warm, shallow water invites snorkeling, windsurfing and a calm launch site for kayaking excursions and instruction. On the ocean side the reef drops off 3000 feet making it a beautiful SCUBA diving site just 10 minutes away and the outer reef is a short paddle away to play in the surf on sit on top kayaks.

Each day you will be introduced to a new sport.if you like. You may kayak, snorkel, surf, dive, fish, wind surf or hit that hammock hard with a good book. All trips include instruction and use of top quality equipment which is continually upgraded and there is a PADI SCUBA facility on the island. A flexible itinerary allows you to design each day as you like whether you're travelling alone, with friends or your family. Life gets simple very quickly here and often "island life" is the most unforgettable memory people take home with them.  Accommodations are in sturdy, two person cabanas on stilts above the pounding surf and all are private, clean and comfortable and all with ocean views.

 

The dining hall is the center of island life complete with solar powered lights, music and library, propane stove and refrigerator. The fully equipped kitchen keeps everyone well fed with fresh fruit, seafood, indigenous dishes and the smell of freshly baked goods wafting on the island breeze. Cold beer and soda is included and the small group sizes and large staff mean that each guest gets the attention they need to learn each sport so you can try activities you've always wanted to try and no experience is necessary. The local staff is helpful and friendly and all strive to make your private island adventure a wonderful experience.   

In recognition of the outstanding natural quality the atoll has been designated a National Marine Reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Nine day itineraries start on Friday and ending on Saturday. Trip cost $1975.00 per person

Six day itineraries start on Friday and end on Wednesday. Trip cost $1295.00 per person.

Five day itineraries start on Wednesday and end on Saturday.  Trip cost is $1050 per person.



Adventure Week Multi Sport

This trip offers a combination all of our favorite things to do in Belize into one action-packed Belize tour package. It is an action packed tour giving you the opportunity to have multi sport experiences. You will run whitewater by kayak, hike on jungle trails, explore a Mayan ceremonial cave and ruins, and visit an underground river by raft with the only light being from our headlamps. You will also get to experience the outfitters water sports center. As you paddle outside of the reef ring you'll see extraordinary sites while you snorkel. Surf kayaking is also an option on the atoll.  Caves, rivers, ruins, tropical islands, coral gardens...you'll visit them all on this adventure tour of a lifetime.

This trip is offered Saturday-Saturday. The outfitter requires that all participants be at least 12 years of age.  The season is mid November-April.  This trip is designed as an active vacation so participants should be in good physical shape. Group size is 12 plus guides.
