Packing List

March/Early-May: Dress warmly in layers of quick drying fabrics like polypropylene (skiing) under garments and fleece (NOT cotton) and bring a good rain suit (jacket with hood and pants) to protect against river spray,

rain and potentially cold wind.   Day temps: 50°-80°

End-May-September
: Clients can dress "for a day at the beach" (be ready for hot burning sun and cold water - 55 degrees). This includes swimsuit (2 piece for ladies-easy for pit stops), T-shirt or long sleeve and shorts, hat w/chinstrap, sunglasses, sunscreen and rain suit.  Day temps: 75-115.

October:  Early October is still warm/hot.  Later October - prepare like spring.

Regardless of when you take the trip everyone should have a rain suit (pants/jacket) and be ready for all types of conditions.  Grand Canyon is a place of extremes and the best way to make sure you enjoy your trip is to be prepared!

It is always a good idea to bring some extra snacks for the bus trip back to Peach Springs at the end of the trip.
